Wayland Group, a medical cannabis producer in Norfolk County, continues to put its money where its mouth is when it comes to good corporate citizenship, reports the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.
In December 2018, the company formerly known as Maricann presented a cheque for $65,550 to the Langton Skating Club and Langton and Area Minor Hockey.
“Words escape me right now how thrilled we are,” figure skating coach Michele Docker said.
“We are very, very happy and very appreciative with all they have given us,” said Langton Minor Hockey president Kendell Zajak.
“It’s donations like these on behalf of good citizens like Wayland that allow our programs to not only continue to operate, but flourish,” said Norfolk County Mayor Kristal Chopp.
