New gateway signage welcoming visitors to Waterford has been installed at the entrances to this community over the summer.
The Waterford Enhancement Committee has been meeting since May 2014 and through a series of about 18 meetings the group has started the changes in Waterford by adding the two new entrance signs on June 28, 2016 on the north and south entrances into Waterford.
As proud representatives of Waterford’s residents, supporters and community services groups, the Waterford Enhancement Committee has additional plans. These include similar gateway signage on the east and west entrances, plus directional signage within the village as well as benches, and bike racks on the most travelled streets in Waterford.
The Waterford Enhancement Committee has community support for 15% of the overall expenditures proposed and is currently looking for grants and other funding sources to complete the balance of the project.
Any business, organization or individual wishing to assist the Waterford Enhancement Committee is welcome to contact Barry Malcolm at 519-443-8218 or email [email protected].
