Norfolk Rotaract, a local community service group presents ReThink Norfolk County. It’s an event that will run for the first time in the area, focusing on the younger generations in Norfolk. With the hope of sparking an entrepreneurial spirit at a younger age, ReThink Norfolk County will provide tools, information and fellowship through a day of learning for those looking to find meaningful employment or even start a business in Norfolk County.
“Norfolk County is a great to place to live, and an even better place to grow your career or start a business!” said Lucas Crandall, President of Norfolk Rotaract. It’s important that we continue to support each other, and that is why Norfolk Rotaract is hosting ReThink Norfolk County. The event will feature guest speakers, provide you with networking and mentoring opportunities and you’ll become aware of the resources available to you in Norfolk County.”
“We’ve structured the event to welcome high school students to participate after school, taking part in the second half of the day. It’s important to have an event that will really meet the needs of the people that we’re hoping will come. If you’re 15 years old or 35, ReThink Norfolk County will provide excellent resources and opportunities for those in attendance and is free to attend.”
The event has been sponsored by Norfolk County Tourism and Economic Development, Venture Norfolk and the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show.
The public is invited to come out and participate in a day of learning, idea sharing and networking. Free food will be offered and iPads and other door prizes will be given away during the event. The event will take place at the Junior Farmer’s Building on the Norfolk County Fair Grounds from 12pm to 6pm on Wednesday, April 27th.
