Norfolk County has approved Port Dover Development Inc. for a project under the Environmental Site Assessment Program of the Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
Port Dover Development Inc. will receive a grant of up to $15,000 for each property slated for development to conduct environmental studies on the properties located at 225 Chapman Street, 230 Chapman Street and 2 Lynn Street, Port Dover.
Incentives are available from Norfolk County for architectural design, environmental site assessment, structural improvements, building facades, agricultural building and facilities, residential conversions and rehabilitation, landscaping, signage and property improvement.
Depending on the program, non-residential projects are eligible for incentives that apply to properties in urban, hamlet, lakeshore and agricultural areas.
Community Improvement Plans help municipalities target areas in transition or in need of repair, rehabilitation and redevelopment, and stimulate private sector investment through municipal incentive-based programs.
