Norfolk County is pleased to introduce Chris Garwood as the successful candidate for the position of Economic Development Coordinator in the Tourism & Economic Development Division. His first day was Monday, July 17, 2017.

Chris has over 15 years of experience in economic development and business analysis, including seven years of business development and commercial banking experience with a focus on business start-ups, expansions, mergers and acquisitions.
Chris previously worked as Senior Economic Development Officer for Haldimand County. Prior to that position, he worked as Account Manager for the Business Development Bank of Canada, and Franchise Development Coordinator for The UPS Store. He also has experience as a business consultant, and worked as a marketing executive for the Jamaica Trade Commission and Jamaica Promotions Corp.
As Economic Development Coordinator, Chris will coordinate our corporate calling program, create and implement business attraction initiatives, coordinate the Community Improvement Plan business incentives program, as well as other projects and strategies.
