Two local entrepreneurs have applied to Norfolk County for amendments to the Official Plan and the Zoning By-Law for a nanobrewery. Tim Wilson and Melanie Doerkson are seeking permission for a nano-brewery with a maximum floor area of 222 square metres (2,389 sq. ft.), and restaurant with a maximum floor area of 80 square metres / 861 sq. ft. (or less than 30 seats), which includes an outdoor patio with a maximum floor area of 36 square metres (387 sq. ft.). In addition, the accessory sale of brewery and restaurant related merchandise as well as a place of assembly is proposed.
