Norfolk County musician Duane Rutter is raising funds via the Internet crowd-funding website Indie GoGo to finance his next recording.
“I’m prepared to make do with what I’ve got and still make a killer album,” Rutter told the Simcoe Reformer recently. “Once I know what I’ve got to work with – boom boom boom – I should have it done.”
The album is called Crazy Things, featuring 12 songs with one bonus track. Top musicians will help Rutter in the studio and then on a tour in 2015. Rutter’s first album was titled Waiting Room. His most recent was called Don’t Bet The Devil Your Head.
Rutter is known for his marathon music performances in support of Camp Trillium in Norfolk County, a retreat on Rainbow Lake for children recovering from cancer.
