The Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie has published the annual Labour Market Report called Forging Skills for Today and Tomorrow, 2016 Update.
The report includes labour market information and trends for employers in Norfolk County, which is included in the Grand Erie catchment area.
Top-growing sectors for employment in Norfolk County between 2010 and 2015 are manufacturing (271 jobs), health care and social assistance (227), accommodation and food services (162), professional, scientific and technical (137) and administration and support, waste management and remediation services (100).
Across the region, top hires in agriculture in 2015 were packers, logistics agents and heavy equipment operators.
The top five sectors of employment in Norfolk County include retail (3,409 jobs), health care and social assistance (2,894), manufacturing (2,472), accommodation and food
services (2,411) and agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting (2,301).
