The former Norfolk Board of Education headquarters in Hillcrest may house an expansion of KWIC Internet if a proposed zoning amendment is approved by Norfolk County Council.
2438415 Ontario Limited and Boompay Inc. have filed an application with Norfolk County Community Planning to permit the following additional uses on the 3.2-acre property at 173 Hillcrest Road: all office uses, private utility yard, design and production studio and indoor storage and warehousing.
The application also proposes to remove several permitted uses in the Community Institutional or “IC” zone that are less appropriate on the subject lands.
Relief of 0.4m from the required side yard setback of 3m to recognize an existing setback of 2.6m is also requested. The subject lands are designated Agricultural in the Norfolk County Official Plan and zoned Community Institutional (IC) in the Norfolk County Zoning By-law. The subject lands are under site plan control.
