Norfolk County Development and Cultural Services (DCS) will be restructuring in the very near future to better serve the public.
Norfolk County Council has approved moving two development technologists from Public Works and Environmental Services to a new Development Engineering Division within DCS, as well as hiring a third technologist and a manager for the new division.
A new planning technician and a two-year contract planner will also be added to the Community Planning Division.
These new positions and the new structure of our department are expected to significantly decrease the amount of time it takes to process a development application.
County Manager David Cribbs recommended the changes to Council in his report on July 11, 2017.
