PORT DOVER – The annual Economic Development Symposium organized by Norfolk County is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Port Dover Community Centre. This year’s theme is “Fresh Perspective / Fresh Attitude”.
Keynote speaker is Max Valiquette, an innovation and trends expert. Named one of Canada’s most influential marketers, Max has worked with some of the biggest brands around the world as a leading strategist.
- Other speakers include Nick Gray of Museum Hack, who built a successful business on renegade tours of museums around the world.
- Awards will be presented to Norfolk County’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Travel Writer of the Year, and Sustainable Tourism Ambassador of the Year.
- Lunch will feature flavours of Norfolk County, with several local chefs working together to showcase their abilities. Wines will be sampled featuring members of the Ontario’s South Coast Wineries & Growers Association.
“Since 2008, this popular Symposium is the place where Norfolk County business and community leaders network, learn and celebrate success,” said Clark Hoskin, Manager of Tourism & Economic Development for Norfolk County.
The main program begins at 8:30 a.m. and finishes at 3 p.m. Cost to attend the Economic Development Symposium is $50 plus HST per person.
