EZ Grow Farms building state-of-the-art greenhouse

    August 16, 2017

EZ Grow Farms is constructing a state of the art strawberry plant propagation greenhouse. The company has received bids and drawings from multiple companies for the job and has chosen to go forward with Cravo, a greenhouse company from Brantford Ontario.

EZ Grow FarmsThe purpose of the new facility will allow EZ Grow to grow and offer a more mature plant for commercial producers both domestically and internationally. This greenhouse incorporates a fully retractable system for both the walls and roof. The advantage of this system is that EZ Grow Farms can begin their growing season earlier and in the summer vent the entire greenhouse when the heat can cause greenhouse plants to stress.

EZ Grow Farms has begun production of a new style of plant that requires the ability to extend the growing season into the fall/early winter. This facility allows the company to be one of the first to offer this strawberry plant for commercial producers around North America.

“We have hired a full-time greenhouse technician from Norfolk and will open employment opportunities for more local Norfolk residents,” said Dusty Zamecnik of EZ Grow Farms, adding that the facility will be operational by mid-September.
