Construction of the $3-million addition to the Delhi Community Health Centre got underway in December. A foundation will be built at the north end of the building, one which will run west to Main Street parallel to Talbot Road. The addition will stand two storeys tall with a full basement. When complete, it will house new physicians as well as a lab and diagnostic services. Fundraising for the project is well supported by the community, including the Verspeeten family, as reported in local media.
“This is a very important project not only as a health facility but as an economic driver for Delhi,” Norfolk County Councillor Mike Columbus told the Simcoe Reformer. “When people come to Delhi for their health care, they also shop here. We’re very grateful to the Verspeeten family.”
