Norfolk County has received good scores from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) in its “Entrepreneurial Communities” report, compared to other municipalities in southwestern Ontario.
Norfolk County scores No.2 behind Kitchener-Waterloo for “Entrepreneurial Presence” among southwestern Ontario municipalities in the report. That score relates to business establishment growth, business establishments per capita, self-employment as a percentage of total employment, information and cultural businesses, and young business owners.
Norfolk County also scores No. 2 behind Hamilton in “Entrepreneurial Policy” among southwestern Ontario municipalities in the report. The score relates to tax ratios.
Norfolk County also placed among the Top 10 communities in all of Ontario for “Presence” and “Policy”.
