Norfolk County Community Planning organized a meeting in late May 2014 with the Development Community including local registered professional planning consultants, lawyers, agents and developers which staff work with on a regular basis.
The topic of the meeting was “Moving Forward with Community Planning”. Manager of Community Planning Pam Duesling outlined a number of new initiatives her office will be taking on in the near future and also talked extensively around customer service.
Great ideas and suggestions were heard from those in attendance. Chris Baird, General Manager of Development and Cultural Services (the Department that includes Community Planning) and his staff are looking forward to acting on the voices of those at the meeting and moving forward with Community Planning. Also in attendance was Gary Houghton, Manager of Engineering Division (Public Works & Environmental Services Department); Clark Hoskin, Manager of Tourism & Economic Development; and County Manager Keith Robicheau.
