    Building Division meets with builders

    May 01, 2014

Norfolk County’s Chief Building Official, Fritz Enzlin, attended the Haldimand Norfolk Home Builders Meeting in late April at the Norfolk Golf & Country Club in Simcoe.  He was joined by Pam Duesling, the new Manager of Community Planning.  Pam spoke about the status of our new Zoning Bylaw as well as latest development applications her staff in the Planning Division is working on.  Other speakers included Carolyn Wall of the Norfolk District Business Development Corporation and Amanda Caissie with Culligan Water Simcoe.  Carolyn spoke to us about ways the NDBDC can help our small businesses and provide us with the opportunity for financing through the NDBDC.  Amanda Caissie of Culligan spoke about water treatment.

“Norfolk County Building Division staff work closely with the association in dealing with the many changes to the Ontario Building Code and Bylaws as well as County procedures and processes related to building construction and permitting process,” said Enzlin. “HNHBA has a large voice and represents the majority of the new home construction industry.  Members include builders, subcontractors and suppliers.  Our participation is extremely valuable to both the association and to Norfolk County Building Division.”
