The owner of the Good Bread Company in Vittoria has purchased to former Baptist Church on Lamport Street and plans to expand operations. A zoning amendment application has been received by Norfolk County Community Planning to rezone the historical building with Greek Revival architecture to add a special provision permitting a bake shop with accessory retail sales and a cafe. The church has stained glass windows, wooden pews with wrought iron ends. “Over 200 can be accommodated in this striking-looking Sanctuary – oft referred to as beautiful!” wrote Reverend George Watt in 1996.
