Development Process
The Tourism & Economic Development Office will provide the necessary confidential assistance and support to residents, businesses and developers on available sites, building information, community information, statistics and tours. We will also assist you in making the necessary municipal contacts to proceed with any necessary development application.
The Community Planning Division handles all development applications for Norfolk County. The Simcoe and Langton Planning Offices are available to provide professional planning advice and assistance on all types of applications.
The Planning Office encourages pre-consultation prior to submitting applications. A list of Community Planning Staff and contact information can be found on the Community Planning webpage.
The Building Division of Norfolk County handles the permits required for building and/or renovating. Related information and office locations can be found on the Building Division webpage.
