Fanshawe College

The Fanshawe College Simcoe Campus in Norfolk County (fanshawec.ca/simcoe) is a full-service Government of Ontario community college.  The campus has served the training and educational needs of the community since 1967.  They are committed to personal, social and economic success through quality education and learning for employment. The Simcoe campus is noted for its hospitality and client service. The campus offers a range of college services and programs including certificate and diploma programs, pre-apprenticeships, continuing education, customized corporate training for business and industry, and career and employment preparation and counselling services. University of Guelph

The University of Guelph Simcoe Research Station (uoguelph.ca/plant/stations/simcoe) houses the Department of Plant Agriculture on 86 hectares (212 acres) of land in Norfolk County, just east of Simcoe. Its mission is to help strengthen the fruit and vegetable industries in the potentially highly productive zone along the north shore of Lake Erie.  Simcoe operates research programs covering vegetables, fruits, hazelnuts and various alternative crops for the sandy tobacco soils of the area. The ratio of research input is about 70% vegetables and 30% fruit, which reflects the approximate distribution of horticultural production in the Lake Erie counties.

Elementary & Secondary Schools

The Grand Erie District School Board (granderie.ca) and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (bhncdsb.ca) provide public education through 22 elementary schools and 5 secondary schools in Norfolk County. École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Marie (smn.csdccs.edu.on.ca/)offers elementary education in the French language in Simcoe. Jarvis Community Christian School (website), Jarvis, offers a Christ-centered program of learning from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.

The Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie (workforceplanningboard.org) in Brantford leads the development of labour market strategies in Norfolk County, Haldimand County, Brant County and Brantford by engaging community partners and maximizing available resources.  It provides evidence-based research and analysis, identifies employment trends, targets workforce opportunities, initiates workforce development strategies, and assists employers with human resource planning.
